SAFARILAND

Kenya lies in the heart of SAFARILAND. Most of us associate the country with Wildebeest Migration, made famous by the wildlife photographers capturing breath‐stopping moments of zebras and wildebeests plunging into the raging waters of the Mara River, and the ferocity of the crocodiles which lie in wait for the kill. Kenya offers to the modern world a vista of finely preserved wilderness where millions of wildebeest are viewed in their annual migration, thousands of pink flamingoes are seen basking on the
shores of the Rift Valley Soda lakes, herds of buffaloes graze on new grass, herds of elephants frolic in the hills and forests, and cross the plains with Mount Kilimanjaro rising majestically in the background, dotted with giraffes and beautiful antelopes ….and the King of the jungle, the African lion, is viewed at its best in some of the game parks and game reserves, with Masaai Mara reigning supreme in their population. Kenya is also a bird‐watcher’s paradise, with the largest to the smaller of the species captivating us with their grace, colour and melody. Calm waters hide dangerous Nile‐crocodiles and hippopotami. Cheetahs,
leopards and wild dogs have also found refuge in the wilderness. History: A lot of African tribes migrated into Kenya‐Tanzania though the ancient times. In recent years, Arab traders came, the Omanis, and settled along the coast. Kenyan interiors were impregnable until 1880’s as the Maasai warriors thwarted every attempt of intrusion. The British negotiated a treaty with Olonana to build the Mombasa‐Uganda railway, through the heart of the country. With the British settlers, came the Asians. Today, Kenya is independent with multiparty democracy

When is the best time to visit Safari land?
Dry Seasons: Jan–Mar & Jun–Oct
The weather is usually mild and dry from January to March, and most of the safari crowds are absent. June to October is safari’s high season – Kenya’s national parks and reserves see high visitor numbers, but weather conditions are fantastic and the Wildebeest Migration’s dramatic river crossings into the Mara take place. Staying inside the Masai Mara National Reserve means you’re a stone’s throw from the Migration’s action, while staying in a neighboring private concession a little further away from the Migration hot spots means you can easily get to all the action but also retreat to tranquility.
How much is an East African Safari cost?

* Local transportation, flights and most meals are included during the trip. International flights are not included.
